2018 Summer Missions Report

We are rejoicing for all that has taken place during our missions trips to Buffalo, NY and the Indian Reservation in Gallop, NM in the month of July!  It just keeps getting better and better.  There were more outreaches and more events which means more people reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is always so fulfilling to be able to minister to people in need which were many in both places.

In both locations our teams were spectacular.  They have hearts full of  compassion and love for the lost and hurting people. The schedule was jammed packed in each place but our teams gave all they had.

We are so thankful for the hundreds of people who accepted Jesus into their lives.

There is one particular story that is very heart-warming.  A woman in the Navajo reservation came to one of the kids meetings.  She said she was going to commit suicide but after she had an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ her whole countenance changed.  She had a great big smile on her face.  Glory to God!   She and others like her is why we do what we do.

Again, we want to say thank you for all the team members that joined us this summer.

Please make plans to join us on our missions trips in 2019!

This has been an amazing summer of ministry! Ministry teams impacted Knoxville, TN, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Navajo Indian Reservation! Over 80 people from 6 states joined with us this summer representing 6 states.

The summer started the first week of June with our second summer trip to Knoxville to work with YWAM, Children’s Ministry Outreach. We had an amazing team come together from all over the country that came to serve Knoxville for a week. The team consisted of children, teens and adults from Michigan, St.Louis, North and South Carolina. They help staff a VBS, Kids clubs throughout the city, feeding the homeless, block parties, clothing distributing and sharing Jesus along the way. What a blessing they were and they expressed how the week stretched them and they saw God’s heart in action!

July started with a return trip to the Virgin Islands, this year to the USVI of St. Thomas. Pastor Donald Beach joined Michael Bailey as they were able to minister at the bi-annual Caribbean District Conference for the COGP. The week consisted of Leadership training and children’s ministry, a total of 10 services all together! It was a blessing to continue to develop relationships with the churches and people of the Caribbean; we look forward to returning next year!

We ended the missions’ summer schedule with our best trip to the Navajo Nation yet! We continue to expand our ministry in Gallup New Mexico each year as this year Joshua Generation Church hosted a day camp “Strong And Courageous” in which we ministered to 177 children. We continued to reach the reservation as well with our 15th annual Family Fun Festival. With a team of 59 people we were able to accomplish so much in just one week including work projects at our host ministry church in Iyanbito. Our team was able to help put a new metal roof on Pastor Mark Thomas home, new siding on the Shower house as well as a roof on the youth minister’s hogan. This was all part of a very successful summer missions season.
